Sky Rides in Aylesbury Aylesbury Vale District Council and Bucks Sport have teamed up with British Cycling and Sky and joined the Sky Ride campaign to get 1 million more people into bike riding by 2013. It’s the largest ever campaign to get people riding bikes for fun. As a campaign partner Aylesbury is hosting a series of Sky Ride Local rides on Sundays throughout the summer around the whole district. The free local rides for friends and families are at four different levels from Ride Easy to Ride Strong, so there’s something for everyone. Rides are led by a friendly British Cycling trained ride leader. The District is also one of the first places to roll out British Cycling’s Breeze network of free, informal social bike rides and support by women, for women. And British Cycling is bringing its Bike Maintenance Workshops to Aylesbury later in the year, to help everyone keep riding with confidence. British Cycling’s recreational cycling team is supporting the council and the cycling community to promote cycling for fun across the District all year round.
