What is it?

Aylesbury school pupils are taking part in a Tour de France challenge to help their school cycle the route of the Tour de France using their cycle journeys to school.

How it works:

Each classroom will have a record chart for pupils to record their cycle journeys. Each day the Bike It crew or champion fills in a bike count form online at www.bikeitdata.org.uk/schools

Each day schools will compete to win a stage of the race and will be awarded points based on the % of their pupils cycling to school which will be added up at the end to give the overall winner who will win a visit from a cycle stunt display team!

The main prize is a visit from a cycle stunt display team for the whole school, but there are lots of chances for all schools to win a prize.

Each day, the stage winner will be awarded a yellow jersey, just like the professionals and at the end of the competition these can be exchanged for prizes (except at the overall winning school)
