Look at Cycle Smart and get some tips on personal safety, looking after your bike and being street wise from Disney's Recess team. There are competitions and prizes too.

Visit Hog Street and catch up with the hedgehogs from the Stop, Look, Listen, Live Campaign. Click on the On Wheels section and play the safe to be seen game, read real life cycling stories and get loads of great advice in the Wheel Handbook - from cycling in the dark to cycling routes and crossings.

Arrive Alive gives straightforward advice on checking your bike out and staying safe.

11-16 year olds should check out Cycle Sense. A cool, but no nonsense website that gives cycling safety advice. This is worth a visit because over 3,500 teen cyclists were killed or injured on Britain's roads in 2004.

Car maker BMW has developed a great Safe on the Street website. Roxy, Tom , Jess and Max provide safety tips and advice on riding a bike. There's loads of puzzles, competitions, activities and stories. Let your teacher know about it too as there's some really fun classroom activities on the site.
